TarraWarra Estate Chardonnay 2025

TarraWarra Estate Chardonnay is an elegant, finely textured Yarra Valley white with a subtle flinty edge.

Planted by the Besen family in the early 1980s, TarraWarra's vineyards enjoy cool nights and a long ripening season, conditions that suit a restrained, precise style of Chardonnay. The 2025 release opens with a light flint note that adds tension and complexity, along with cumquat blossom and a hint of petrichor, the smell of fresh rain. White peach, nashi pear and citrus fill the palate, and a fine chalky element through the middle gives grip and shape. Bright acidity and understated oak keep it fresh, driving and elegant.

Pour it chilled with pan-fried scallops, a goat's cheese tart or roast chicken with lemon and thyme.
