TarraWarra Estate Swallowfield Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024

TarraWarra Estate Swallowfield Vineyard Pinot Noir is a graceful, detailed single-vineyard Pinot from the Yarra Valley.

Alongside its Chardonnay, TarraWarra bottles a Pinot Noir from the Swallowfield Vineyard to capture how one site shapes this sensitive grape. The 2024 is ruby red, with wild strawberries, red cherries, violets and rose petal building an intense perfume. Pomegranate, sour cherry and sarsaparilla bring brightness and sweet fruit to the palate, while silky yet persistent tannins give a fine, chalky grip that supports the fruit without overshadowing it. It's balanced, detailed and exacting, and a fine example of single-site Yarra Pinot.

Serve at 14 to 16 degrees with duck, lamb rack or mushroom dishes. It's drinking well now and, according to the winery, will keep developing over the next 5 to 10 years.
