Description

Te Mata Estate Vineyards Merlot Cabernet is the winery's everyday Hawke's Bay red, drawn across its vineyards.

The Estate Vineyards range blends fruit from the winery's sites around Havelock North and the Bridge Pa Triangle rather than isolating a single block, which gives a wine built for drinking young. Merlot leads, softening the Cabernet's structure. Fermentation is in stainless steel and the wine spends a shorter time in French oak than the estate's flagship bottlings.

Serve at 16 degrees with pizza, burgers or roast chicken. Drink over the next five years.
