Description

Tenuta San Leonardo San Leonardo IGT is one of Italy's most admired Bordeaux-style reds, from Trentino, here in magnum.

Tenuta San Leonardo lies in the Vallagarina, at the southern end of Trentino, where the Adige valley narrows between the mountains. The estate has belonged to the Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga family for generations and takes its name from a monastery that stood on the site. San Leonardo is the flagship wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Merlot matured in French oak. It is known for its restraint and its capacity to age, more in the manner of the Médoc than of most Italian reds.

A refined, long-lived red for roast beef, lamb, game and aged cheeses. Decant and serve at around 18 degrees.
