Tenute Pieralisi Pallio Villa Bizzarri Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC is a crisp Italian white from the hills of the Marche.

Verdicchio is the signature white grape of the Marche on Italy's Adriatic coast, and the Castelli di Jesi DOC, in the hills inland from Ancona, is its best-known home. The zone takes its name from the old walled hill towns around Jesi, and its soils give Verdicchio its freshness and the gently bitter almond finish the grape is known for. Tenute Pieralisi belongs to the Pieralisi family, a name also known internationally for olive oil processing equipment. This bottling is clear straw yellow, with the fragrance of freshly ripened apricot and a deep, lasting finish.

Serve well chilled with seafood: a Marche-style fish soup, fritto misto, grilled sardines or pasta with clams.
