The Other Wine Co. Savagnin #4 is an experimental half bottle of a variety Australia planted by accident.

Savagnin arrived in Australia labelled as Albariño, and growers only discovered the mix-up in 2009 when DNA testing proved otherwise, leaving the country with a quantity of a Jura grape nobody had set out to plant. Some producers have since embraced it, since Savagnin handles heat and makes textural, savoury whites. The numbered series marks successive experiments.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast chicken, hard cheese or mushroom dishes. Drink within four years.
