The Pawn Malbec 2022

The Pawn Malbec is grown at Langhorne Creek, one of the few Australian regions that takes the variety seriously.

Malbec is usually a blending grape here, but Langhorne Creek's deep alluvial soils and lake-cooled evenings give it enough structure to stand alone. The region sits on the Bremer floodplain south-east of Adelaide and was historically flooded each winter to irrigate the vines. Maturation is in French oak.

Serve at 17 degrees with grilled beef, lamb or a spiced stew. Drink over the next eight years.
