Thomas Wines Two Of A Kind Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp white blend drawn from the Hunter Valley and the Adelaide Hills.

Two regions, two grapes, one bottle: 58 per cent Hunter Valley Semillon from an early-picked block at Braemore, and 42 per cent Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc off the Saint and Scholar and Kaesler sites. The Sauvignon was pressed at Kaesler and carried cold to the Hunter, where the components were blended without delay and given a short rest on lees for texture. Early bottling preserves the aromatics. The idea comes from the great interstate blends of the mid twentieth century, and Andrew Thomas treats it as a serious wine, not a curiosity.

Clean citrus with light tropical fruit, fleshy in the middle, refreshing all the way out. Chill to 8 degrees. It suits summer eating: barbecued prawns, chicken salad, or a wedge of fresh goat's cheese with crusty bread.
