Tiefenbrunner Merus Pinot Grigio DOC 2025

Tiefenbrunner Merus Pinot Grigio DOC is a dry white from the Alto Adige DOC, in the alpine, German-speaking north of Italy.

Alto Adige runs north from Trento to the Austrian border, a bilingual province where German is the first language of most growers and the vineyards sit on steep valley sides and mountain terraces above the Adige river. Southern sunshine and cold alpine nights make for a long, even ripening season, and the region has built its name almost entirely on white wine. Tiefenbrunner works from Castel Turmhof at Entiklar, near Kurtatsch, farming plots spread across a considerable range of altitudes, and Merus is the house's approachable everyday range. The Pinot Grigio is handled gently, fermented cool in stainless steel and bottled without oak to keep it fresh.

Serve well chilled, at around 10 degrees, with antipasti, white fish, chicken or lighter pasta dishes. It is made for drinking young.
