Tim Smith Old Vine Barossa Grenache 2025

Tim Smith Old Vine Barossa Grenache is a medium-bodied red from old Barossa Grenache vines, all about perfume and finesse.

Some of the Grenache in the Barossa has been in the ground since the 1800s. Once destined for fortifieds, these gnarled, low-cropping bush vines now make a wine people seek out, with perfumed, concentrated fruit and a fine grip. Tim buys old-vine parcels from local growers for it.

Think raspberry, red cherry and a little spice, with tannins like silk. Serve slightly cool, 15–17°C, next to lamb cutlets, roast duck, pork belly or a mushroom risotto.
