Tim Smith Old Vine Barossa Shiraz 2024

Tim Smith Old Vine Barossa Shiraz is a full-bodied Barossa Shiraz from old vines, deep and firmly structured.

A few of the oldest Shiraz vines on earth grow in the Barossa. Vines of that age crop lightly and give small berries, which means more concentrated, layered fruit. Tim works with growers who look after these sites and makes the wine to show that depth while staying fresh and balanced.

Blackberry, dark plum and spice, with ripe, firm tannins and a long finish. An hour in a decanter helps. Serve at 16–18°C with rib-eye, braised short ribs or a good aged cheddar.
