Tyrrell's Belford Semillon 2022

Tyrrell's Belford Semillon comes from a single Hunter Valley vineyard planted on deep sandy soils in 1933.

Hunter Semillon is picked early and low in alcohol, made without oak, and it ages for decades into one of the most distinctive whites in the world. The Belford vineyard sits on the sandy flats that give the style its precision. Tyrrell's has farmed in the Hunter since 1858 and holds several of its oldest vineyards. The fruit is whole-bunch pressed, fermented cool in tank and bottled early.

Serve at 9 degrees with oysters, whitebait or a simple fish dish. It develops toast and honey over fifteen years.
