Description
Tyrrell's Hunter Valley Verdelho is a dry white from a Portuguese variety long established in the Hunter.
Verdelho came to Australia in the nineteenth century, originally for fortified wine, and found a home in the Hunter Valley where it gives a dry, tropical-fruited white with enough acidity to stay fresh in a warm climate. Tyrrell's grows it at Pokolbin alongside its Semillon and Shiraz. The wine is fermented cool in stainless steel and bottled young without oak.
Serve at 9 degrees with Thai food, prawns or roast chicken. Drink within three years.
