Description

Tyrrell's Special Release Pinot Noir is an unusual Hunter Valley bottling of the variety.

The Hunter is warm and humid, which makes Pinot Noir difficult, but the region has a long history with it: Maurice O'Shea made famous Hunter Pinot in the 1930s and 40s, and a handful of producers persist. The Special Release range is where Tyrrell's works outside its Semillon and Shiraz mainstays. The wine is made in a light, savoury style.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, pork or mushroom dishes. Drink over the next six years.
