Valli Vineyards Burn Cottage Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Valli Vineyards Burn Cottage Vineyard Pinot Noir is the final release from Valli's collaboration with the celebrated Burn Cottage vineyard.

For several vintages Valli made a Pinot Noir from Burn Cottage, a highly regarded site at the foot of the Pisa Range in the Cromwell Basin, and 2022 is the last wine of that partnership. Winemaker Jen Parr notes that the same descriptors keep appearing year after year: earthiness, bright red fruit, fine tannin and well-judged acidity, now regarded as the hallmarks of the site. That consistency says a great deal about the vineyard. Valli itself was founded by Grant Taylor, one of Central Otago's Pinot Noir pioneers, and focuses on single-vineyard wines across the region.

Refreshingly taut at release, it will continue to evolve for 15 years or more. Serve at around 15 to 17 degrees with roast quail, pork fillet with cherries or a platter of aged cheeses.
