Description

Valli Vineyards Gibbston Vineyard Pinot Noir 375ml is Valli's Gibbston Pinot in a half bottle, handy for a dinner for two.

Valli's single-vineyard wines explore the character of Central Otago's subregions, and Gibbston, the cool, high valley that follows the Kawarau River towards Queenstown, sits at the heart of the range. Cooler conditions here produce Pinot Noir with fragrance and fine structure. Founded by Grant Taylor and now made in partnership with Jen Parr, Valli describes the 2023 as concentrated and delicious at release. Look for savoury herbs, fennel and mushroom woven with dark cherry, strawberry and rose petal, fine tannins and an elegant, layered palate.

Try it at around 15 to 16 degrees with seared duck, a mushroom risotto or grilled salmon. Even in a half bottle it has plenty of life ahead.
