Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay 1.5L MAGNUM 2024

Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay in magnum is the estate's flagship Margaret River white in a large format suited to celebrations and long ageing.

This wine is a selection of the finest Chardonnay grown on the estate's vineyards, fermented with indigenous yeasts in French barrels and left on lees to build texture. Its name honours Heytesbury, the Holmes à Court family business that bought the winery in 1987 and has invested in its vineyards and cellar ever since. Larger bottles tend to age more slowly and evenly than standard bottles, which suits a wine of this structure. Expect peach and citrus peel, savoury herb and nut notes, a flinty mineral thread, a gentle saline edge and a long, firm finish.

Pour at around 12 degrees for a table of eight to ten. Serve it with a whole baked snapper, crayfish or a festive roast turkey, or lay it down for a future occasion.
