Description

Verget au Sud Chardonnay is the southern arm of Verget, bottled as Vin de France.

Verget au Sud is Jean-Marie Guffens' venture in the south of France, run alongside the Mâconnais house he founded at Sologny in 1990. Bottling as Vin de France rather than under an appellation leaves him free on variety and source, and these wines are made in a direct, early-drinking style.

Serve well chilled at 10 degrees with grilled fish, salads, roast chicken or a goat's cheese.
