Description

Verget Mâcon-Pierreclos Lieu Secret is a Chardonnay from a named site in the southern Mâconnais.

Pierreclos lies just north of Pouilly-Fuissé, in the limestone country below the rock of Solutré, and the village has long been associated with Jean-Marie Guffens, who founded Verget at Sologny in 1990 and makes wine from bought-in fruit pressed at his own cellar. Lieu Secret is one of his single-site Mâcon bottlings.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast poultry, scallops, a cream sauce or a hard cheese.
