Description

Veuve Ambal Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc de Blancs is made entirely from white grapes, principally Chardonnay.

A blanc de blancs uses only white varieties, which in Burgundy means Chardonnay and sometimes Aligoté, giving a lighter and more citrus-driven sparkling than a blend including Pinot Noir. Crémant de Bourgogne requires bottle fermentation and at least nine months on lees. The house was founded at Rully in 1898 by Marie Ambal, whose widowhood gave the label its name.

Serve at 8 degrees as an aperitif or with shellfish and canapés. Drink on release.
