Vietti Barolo Brunate 2021

Vietti Barolo Brunate comes from one of the best-known crus of La Morra, on the boundary with the Barolo commune.

Brunate faces south-east on Tortonian marl, the bluish, compact soil of the western Barolo communes, which gives perfumed wines of unusual completeness. The site has been named in writing since the sixteenth century. Vietti has worked its parcel for decades, harvesting by hand, fermenting with native yeast and ageing in large oak casks so that the vineyard rather than the wood shapes the wine.

Decant well ahead and serve at 17 degrees with truffle dishes, braised meats or hard alpine cheese. It rewards twenty years.
