Vietti Barolo Castiglione 1.5L MAGNUM 2020

Vietti Barolo Castiglione is a Nebbiolo drawn from parcels across several Barolo communes rather than a single vineyard.

Barolo lies in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, where Nebbiolo ripens late on marl and sandstone slopes and produces wines of high acidity and firm tannin. Vietti has been based at Castiglione Falletto since the nineteenth century and was among the first to bottle single crus in the 1960s, as well as the first to commission the artist labels the estate is known for. Castiglione blends fruit from vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, Barolo, Monforte d'Alba, La Morra and Novello, fermented in a mix of vessels and aged in large Slavonian and French oak casks.

Decant an hour ahead and serve at 17 degrees with braised beef, truffle dishes or aged Castelmagno. It will develop over fifteen years.
