Vietti Barolo Cerequio 2021

Vietti Barolo Cerequio is drawn from a cru that straddles the La Morra and Barolo communes on an amphitheatre-shaped slope.

Cerequio sits at around 300 metres on marl and sand, facing south, sheltered enough to ripen Nebbiolo fully while keeping the perfume the western communes are known for. It has long been ranked among the finest sites in the zone. Vietti ferments the fruit with indigenous yeast in a mix of vessels and ages the wine in large casks, releasing it only after several years.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with roast game, braised veal cheek or mature cheese. It will develop over twenty years.
