Villa Russiz Collio Pinot Bianco DOC 2025

Villa Russiz Collio Pinot Bianco DOC is a dry white from the Collio hills of Friuli, made from Pinot Bianco.

Villa Russiz sits at Capriva del Friuli in the Collio, the band of hills along the Slovenian border that is widely regarded as one of Italy's finest white wine districts. The estate was founded in 1868 by the French count Théodore de La Tour, who brought French grape varieties and winemaking methods to the area. It is now run as a foundation, with the proceeds of the estate supporting a children's charity. The Collio's soil, a layered marl and sandstone known locally as ponca, is the defining feature of its wines. Pinot Bianco was among the French varieties the count introduced, and it has been grown here ever since.

It suits seafood, white meats, risotto and soft cheeses; serve at around 10 to 12 degrees.
