Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc 2025

Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc is an organic Margaret River Chenin Blanc with a portion aged in seasoned oak.

Maritime air and gravelly, mineral-rich ground define the style of this wine as much as the grape does. Three estate blocks are involved, farmed organically, including 1978 plantings that count among the oldest Chenin in Margaret River. Juice was pressed to tank and left to settle naturally for a day before a spontaneous ferment spread across several vessel types; the parts were brought together in late August, Thirty per cent was matured in seasoned French oak, and the lees contact added texture without clouding the shape of the wine. Chardonnay and Cabernet built this estate's reputation, but the Chenin is no afterthought.

Light-framed but firmly built, the acidity natural, the phenolics gripping gently, and a salty, savoury undertone that lingers without shouting. Serve at 10 degrees. Try it with oysters, pork and fennel, or a plate of hard cheese and pickles.
