Voyager Estate Rosé 2021

Voyager Estate Rose is a dry, organically grown pink wine from Margaret River.

Promoted out of the Project range into the estate line-up, this is built from Shiraz, Tempranillo, Merlot and a splash of Viognier. The Tempranillo comes from Cordis Block 3, the Merlot from North Block 7 and the Shiraz from Weightmans Block 3, all organically farmed on the gravel soils the region is known for, cropping moderately. Fruit was pressed gently to take a free-run juice with very little colour, then fermented cool to hold the aromatics. A portion of the Viognier was co-fermented, which adds texture and lift to the finish.

Pale salmon in the glass, with strawberry, watermelon and a juicy close that carries just a hint of summer-berry sweetness. Serve it properly cold, 8-10 degrees. Take it with grilled prawns, a nicoise salad, or a plate of hot chips.
