Voyager Estate Rosé 2022

Voyager Estate Rose is a pale, dry pink wine grown organically in Margaret River.

The recipe shifts a little each year. For this release the Shiraz comes off Ullingers Block 8, the Merlot from North Block 7 and the Tempranillo from Cordis Block 3, with small co-fermented portions of Sauvignon Gris and Viognier added for texture and perfume. Every block is farmed organically on the gravelly soils that run through this part of Margaret River, and yields are kept moderate so the fruit stays balanced. A gentle press takes only the free-run juice, keeping colour to a blush, and a cool ferment protects the aromatics. No oak is involved at any point.

Red apple skin, white peach and citrus, with a dry, savoury finish and a little more grip than most. Eight to ten degrees. Try it with a roast chicken salad, prawn tacos or a bowl of mussels.
