Weingut Adams Ingelheim Spätburgunder 'Auf dem Haun' is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from one of the estate's most closely watched sites in Ingelheim, Rheinhessen.

Auf dem Haun lies within Ingelheim's limestone-rich vineyard landscape, an area with some two thousand years of winegrowing history that was once regarded as Germany's red wine capital. Weingut Adams, the ten-hectare family estate of winemaker Simone Adams, farms this and its other parcels organically and regeneratively, working almost entirely by hand from pruning through to harvest, and treats Auf dem Haun as one of its most cool and site-transparent expressions of Spätburgunder. As with all Adams wines, it is made bone-dry, unfiltered and unfined, with an emphasis on patience in the cellar to let the site express itself fully.

This is a fine-boned, contemplative red best suited to those who enjoy Pinot Noir with real precision and the patience to let it unfold, whether given a little time in the glass or a few years in the cellar.
