Description
Weingut Adams Ingelheim Spätburgunder 'Horn' is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Horn site, a classified vineyard parcel in Ingelheim, Rheinhessen.
Horn occupies the upper third of one of Ingelheim's classified vineyard sites, part of a limestone-rich landscape with a winegrowing tradition stretching back roughly two thousand years, during which the town was once known as Germany's red wine capital. Weingut Adams, the ten-hectare estate of winemaker Simone Adams, farms Horn organically and regeneratively, with meticulous manual work carried out across the season, and treats it as one of the more refined and site-expressive parcels in its portfolio. In keeping with the estate's philosophy, the wine is made bone-dry, unfiltered and unfined.
This is a polished, finely structured red for those drawn to the more refined end of German Pinot Noir, well suited to considered dinners and cellaring.
