Weingut Immich-Batterieberg Steffensberg Riesling 2022

Weingut Immich-Batterieberg Steffensberg Riesling is a dry, single-vineyard Riesling from the Steffensberg, a warmer, red-slate site within the estate's Enkirch holdings.

The Steffensberg is planted on softer, copper-toned red slate, giving it a warmer character than the estate's other sites. Since 2009 the vineyard has been farmed organically and by hand by winemaker Gernot Kollmann, who works largely ungrafted old vines and favours spontaneous fermentation and minimal cellar intervention to let the site's distinctive red-slate terroir show through in the wine.

Grown on one of the estate's warmer, red-slate sites, it is a rounder, generous style of dry Mosel Riesling well suited to richer fish and poultry dishes.
