Description
Weingut Immich-Batterieberg Zeppwingert Riesling is a dry, single-vineyard Riesling from the Zeppwingert, a grand cru parcel of old, ungrafted vines directly beside the Batterieberg.
The Zeppwingert lies adjacent to the Batterieberg and shares its grey, quartz-flecked slate, though its darker soil gives the wines a character of their own; the site is planted with old, largely ungrafted vines. Since 2009 the vineyard has been farmed organically and by hand by winemaker Gernot Kollmann, who favours spontaneous fermentation and minimal cellar intervention to let the slate terroir show through in the wine.
Grown on one of the estate's old-vine grand cru sites, it is a precise, mineral-driven dry Riesling that rewards drinkers seeking real depth.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
