Weingut Peter Jakob Kühn Riesling Trocken GG Doosberg is a Großes Gewächs - the VDP's top classification for a dry wine from a Grosse Lage vineyard - grown on the quartzite-rich Doosberg slope above the village of Oestrich.

Weingut Peter Jakob Kühn is a family-run estate based in Oestrich-Winkel, on the northern bank of the Rhine in the heart of the Rheingau, with roots reaching back to 1786 and now guided by the twelfth generation of the Kühn family. Since 2004 the property has been farmed organically and biodynamically, holding Demeter certification and membership of Germany's prestigious VDP growers' association, and its steep, mineral-rich vineyard sites, including the quartzite-rich, mid-slope Doosberg site in Oestrich, classified among the VDP's top-rated vineyards, are worked almost entirely by hand, with fruit picked selectively by parcel and fermented spontaneously so that each site can speak clearly through the finished wine.

Structured and built for ageing, this is a serious, mineral-driven dry white suited to fine dining and cellaring alike, and one that rewards patience as much as immediate enjoyment.
