Weingut Peter Jakob Kühn Riesling Trocken Hallgarten Alte Reben is a dry old-vine Riesling from the biodynamic Kühn estate, sourced from mature vines planted around the Rheingau village of Hallgarten.

The Kühn family has cultivated vines in and around Oestrich-Winkel for generations and farms all its holdings organically and biodynamically, a practice recognised by both Demeter and the VDP, Germany's leading estate association. Hallgarten, one of the highest and coolest villages in the Rheingau, has long been valued for wines of structure and longevity, and the estate's older plantings there yield naturally lower crops and greater concentration than younger vines. As with the rest of the range, hand harvesting, indigenous yeast fermentation and minimal cellar intervention are used to let the vineyard's character come through.

A textured, old-vine dry white with real presence, it suits roast poultry, richer seafood and other dishes that can stand up to its structure.
