Weingut Veyder-Malberg Riesling Elsarner Brandstatt is a single-vineyard dry Riesling from a small parcel near the village of Elsarn, at the western edge of the Wachau.

Peter Veyder-Malberg established his small Wachau estate after years working alongside established local growers, and has become known for a more restrained, precise style than the region's typically powerful Smaragd wines. He farms scattered, terraced parcels across several Wachau villages by hand, including the Brandstatt site near Elsarn, and favours gentle handling, spontaneous fermentation and maturation in large old wooden casks to keep the wines fresh, energetic and true to their individual sites rather than simply ripe and weighty.

A taut, mineral dry white with fine tension, it pairs well with river fish, poultry and lighter Austrian dishes.
