Weingut Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch, Erben Thanisch Bernkasteler Doctor Riesling Kabinett is a light, classically styled Prädikatswein Riesling from the legendary Bernkasteler Doctor vineyard on the Mosel.

The Mosel is Germany's most celebrated Riesling region, its vineyards planted on some of the steepest slopes in the world, where blue-grey slate soils store daytime warmth and reflect it back onto the vines, helping Riesling ripen slowly at this cool, northerly latitude while retaining the region's hallmark bright acidity. Weingut Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch, Erben Thanisch is one of Bernkastel's oldest and most historic estates, with a winemaking history dating back to 1636 and now in the hands of the eleventh generation of the Thanisch family; the estate is a part-owner of the legendary Bernkasteler Doctor vineyard, among the most prized and expensive vineyard sites in Germany, and is a member of the VDP, the country's association of elite wine estates.
