Description

West Cape Howe Regional Range Hanna's Hill Cabernet Malbec is a juicy, red-fruited Great Southern blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.

Malbec has found a happy home in the Great Southern, where it is often blended with Cabernet to add juicy fruit and soften the edges. Here Cabernet Sauvignon supplies the structure while Malbec brings bright, lively berry flavour, and French oak adds gentle spice. The wine is a dense, dark crimson, with red and black berries and a hint of pomegranate molasses. The palate is fresh and bright, with freeze-dried raspberry and a touch of raspberry liquorice, and well-integrated tannins run evenly through to the finish.

Enjoy it now or cellar it for a few more years. Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees with lamb cutlets, beef empanadas or a wood-fired margherita.
