Whistler Back To Basics Skin Contact White 2026

Whistler Back To Basics is a skin-contact white of Semillon and Riesling from biodynamic Barossa fruit.

White grapes are treated here as though they were red, left on skins for around ten days so that tannin, colour and aroma are drawn out, then aged for several months in neutral oak. The style is ancient rather than new, and has found a following again among drinkers looking for texture in a white wine. The fruit is grown organically and biodynamically on the family estate.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast pork, tagine or hard cheese. Drink over the next four years.
