Wine & Soul Manoella Tinto 2023

Wine & Soul Manoella Tinto is a polished, approachable red from one of the Douro's most acclaimed small producers.

Wine & Soul was founded in 2001 by husband-and-wife team Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, both trained winemakers with deep roots in the Douro. In 2009 the couple acquired Quinta da Manoella, a historic property dating to 1838 with vineyards over a century old, and the Manoella range takes its name from this estate. Farmed with minimal intervention and made from a traditional co-planted field blend of old-vine Douro varieties, the wine reflects the schist terraces and steep, sun-baked slopes of the Pinhão Valley, one of the heartlands of the wider Douro region.

This is a polished, food-friendly red, well suited to roast meats, hard cheeses and hearty, slow-cooked dishes.
