Winners Tank Shiraz 2023

Winners Tank Shiraz is a generous, full-bodied Shiraz from Langhorne Creek in South Australia.

The Bremer and Angas rivers spread across flood plains here, south-east of Adelaide near Lake Alexandrina. Breezes off the lake take the edge off summer heat, and winter floods were once diverted over the deep alluvial soils to water the vines. Much of the region's red has historically gone into blends made elsewhere, and its Shiraz is known for plush tannins and ripe dark fruit. This label follows that generous style, with the emphasis on flavour for the price.

Plum, blackberry and a little spice over soft tannins. Serve at 16–18°C with barbecued meats, burgers or a hearty lasagne.
