Wirra Wirra Hiding Champion Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh, zesty Sauvignon Blanc from the Adelaide Hills.

While Wirra Wirra's home is in McLaren Vale, the winery looks to the cooler, higher Adelaide Hills for its aromatic whites. Altitude and cool nights help the grapes hold their natural acidity, giving Sauvignon Blanc with lift and a crisp, mineral line. This release shows star fruit, feijoa, gardenia, grapefruit, snow pea and nashi pear on the nose, followed by mandarin, fresh citrus and red-fleshed guava, with hints of white flowers and pea shoots. The finish is long and gently saline, with a mineral quality that adds length.

Serve well chilled. It's lovely with goat's cheese salads, oysters, fish tacos, Thai-style salads or asparagus with lemon butter. Drink it young while the aromatics are at their freshest.
