Wirra Wirra Mrs Wigley Rosé 2026

Wirra Wirra Mrs Wigley Rosé is a pale, dry Grenache rosé from McLaren Vale.

The name recalls the Wigley family, who first planted vines at Wirra Wirra in 1894 before the estate was revived by Greg Trott in 1969. Made from Grenache, a variety McLaren Vale grows with particular success, it is crafted in a pale, delicate style with a soft pink hue. Strawberry and melon lead on the nose with a trail of gentle florals, and the palate brings watermelon rind and strawberry panna cotta alongside some savoury layers. At 12.5% alcohol it's light, dry and refreshing.

Pour it well chilled with summer lunches: prawns on the barbecue, salade niçoise, grilled fish or prosciutto and melon. It's at its best in its first year or two.
