Description

Wirra Wirra The Lost Watch Riesling is a zesty Adelaide Hills Riesling with bright acidity and a mineral finish.

The Adelaide Hills climb well above the plains around Adelaide, and their cool climate gives Riesling a fine, taut structure and lifted aromatics. Wirra Wirra, based in McLaren Vale since 1894, sources its Riesling from these higher vineyards and handles it simply, without oak, so the variety speaks clearly. The 2025 has honeysuckle, lime peel, talc and floral notes, and a focused palate of grapefruit, jasmine and a hint of spice held together by bright acidity and minerality. At 12% alcohol it's dry, light and refreshing.

Well chilled is the way to go. Pair it with sashimi, Thai fish cakes, prawn and green mango salad or grilled flathead. Enjoy it young, or cellar it for further development.
