Wolfburn 3 Pack Miniature holds a 50ml bottle of each of the distillery's three core single malts: Northland, Aurora and Morven.

The most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland was built in 2013 at Thurso in Caithness, a few hundred metres from the ruins of a nineteenth-century predecessor of the same name, and water still comes from the burn it was named after. The three malts in this set cover the core range: Northland, matured in ex-Laphroaig quarter casks; Aurora, split between first-fill bourbon and Oloroso sherry; and Morven, lightly peated. Each is bottled without chill filtration and without added colour, which is not always the case at this price and says something about the priorities here.

This is the set to buy if you want to work out which one suits you before committing to a full bottle, or if you are putting together a tasting for a few people. Pour them in that order, at room temperature, with a splash of water on hand.
