Description

Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Syrah is a cool-climate red from the estate at Tuerong.

Syrah on the Mornington Peninsula ripens slowly in a maritime climate and comes out peppery and medium-bodied, which is why growers here use the French name rather than Shiraz. It is a small planting alongside the estate's Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Fermentation includes whole bunches, with maturation in French oak and restraint on new wood.

Serve at 16 degrees with lamb, duck or grilled vegetables. Drink over the next ten years.
