Yabby Lake Tasmania Coal River Chardonnay 2025

Yabby Lake Coal River Chardonnay is made from Tasmanian fruit rather than the estate's Mornington vineyards.

Tasmania's Coal River Valley is one of the coolest and driest wine districts in Australia, which gives Chardonnay a piercing acidity and citrus definition the mainland struggles to match. Yabby Lake bought land there in late 2022. The wine is whole-bunch pressed, fermented with wild yeast in French oak and matured on lees, as the estate's Mornington Chardonnay is.

Serve at 12 degrees with oysters, roast fish or a soft cheese. It develops over eight years.
