Yabby Lake Tasmania Coal River Pinot Noir 2024

Yabby Lake Coal River Pinot Noir comes from the Tasmanian property the estate bought in 2022.

The Coal River Valley sits inland from Hobart in Tasmania's dry east, where low rainfall, cold nights and a long season give Pinot Noir high natural acidity and fine tannin. Yabby Lake acquired a twelve-hectare property there in December 2022, much of it already planted to the variety, joining a wave of mainland producers investing in the island. Winemaking follows the house approach: whole bunches, natural fermentation and French oak.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, salmon or a mushroom tart. It develops over eight years.
