Yalumba Samuel's Collection Barossa Bush Vine Grenache is a refined, moreish Barossa Grenache with a savoury finish.

Named for founder Samuel Smith, this range brings together wines that express the Barossa and Eden Valley at a fair price. Growing Grenache as untrellised bush vines is a long-standing Barossa tradition, and their open canopies suit the dry climate. In this release the aromas start quietly and open with air to red cherry, milk chocolate and herbes de Provence, then blueberry, damson plum and violet. An earthy note, like rain on soil, adds complexity, and the palate is bright and fresh, with natural acidity and a savoury close.

A good match for roast duck with cherries, lamb kofta or a tomato-based pasta. Pour it at 14 to 16 degrees and give it a few minutes in the glass to come alive. Drink it young.
