Yalumba Samuel's Collection Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz is a poised, fruit-forward Barossa blend with fine structure.

Part of the range named after founder Samuel Smith, this wine joins two varieties that have shared a bottle in Australia since the nineteenth century. Barossa Cabernet brings blackcurrant and a firm tannin line, while Shiraz adds plum, blackberry and generosity. Subtle oak contributes cedar, vanilla and baking spice, with a touch of cinnamon, and an ironstone, ferrous note gives savoury depth. The 2024 release is structured yet approachable, with dark and red fruit at the core and fine tannins running the length of the palate.

Pour it at 16 to 18 degrees alongside a Sunday roast of beef, barbecued lamb cutlets or a vegetable moussaka. It will hold and improve for several years.
