Yalumba Samuel's Collection Eden Valley Chardonnay 2024

Yalumba Samuel's Collection Eden Valley Chardonnay is an elegant, textural Chardonnay from the cool hills above the Barossa.

Eden Valley sits higher and cooler than the Barossa floor, with rocky, granite-based soils and a long ripening season that suits Chardonnay's natural acidity. As part of the range named after founder Samuel Smith, this wine is made to express its region clearly. Oak plays a part, adding lightly toasted almond, nougat and hazelnut to white stone fruit, lemon zest and jasmine. A flinty edge and crisp acidity keep it fresh, while creamy texture and a touch of vanilla custard fill out the long, savoury palate.

Serve chilled, at around 10 to 12 degrees, with roast chicken, crab linguine or a creamy leek tart. It will develop nicely for three to four years.
