Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz in magnum brings a recent release of this Barossa classic to the table in a generous format.

The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz has been Yalumba's signature, quite literally, since the first release in 1962, and every bottling honours an individual whose signature appears on the label. The Barossa provides both varieties, and the wine is matured in oak before bottling. In the cool 2023 season flavours built slowly, and the result is a stylish, scarlet-red wine with black cherry, blackcurrant, olive tapenade and dark chocolate. As it breathes, florals, sage and liquorice come through, while the palate carries coffee, blue fruits and spice over long tannins.

A magnum will serve eight to ten people. Give it time in a decanter, pour at 17 to 18 degrees, and match it with roast venison, braised beef or a board of hard cheeses. Cellar it for many years if you can wait.
